Swimming Sports was on Thursday the 27th of February and the day was split into two parts. Pod 4 started in the morning with a slight drizzle and a chill in the air whilst Pod 3 were baked in the afternoon sun. Everyone was looking forward to a great day. Chants were sung, families cheering, and each race started with a bang. The water was cold but the children were swimming their fastest. There were Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke races. There were house relays and Pod 4 was lucky enough to have a race to find out who was the fastest Year 5 and Year 6 swimmer. House points were given to quick swimmers and those with great sportsmanship. The fastest Shelly Park Swimmers are going to the interschool competition to compete against other schools. Ka Pai to both Pod 3 and 4 for an amazing day of swimming!
Shelly Park Cross Country – Term 2 2020
On the 30th of June Shelly Park had their Cross Country day at school. Students from all over Pod 3 and 4 ran around the school. They had been training for weeks and building up their fitness in preparation for the day. All of the practice had paid off and many of the students were proud of their results. Runners were selected for an interschool team and have been training for Interschool Cross Country in Term 3. We wish our runners the best and know they’ll do us proud.
Don’t forget to check out the SPS Cross Country video below!
Shelly Park is lucky to have a gymnastics team. The children in Pod 3 and 4 are able to join and have fun. It is located in the hall on Monday and Thursday lunch times each week.

On the 21st of August 2019, Shelly Park sent lots of children to compete in the interschool’s competition. Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the day.
